Artist Statement

Visual FineArtist Painter Monica G. Vera. MURILLO, 1963- Mex> Can. is Creator and artistry of her visionary way of of realist painting,  SUBTLE REALISM ,with the respect and in Pro of Realism. 

 

Presents a series of paintings of imaginative mystical characters that evoke the classic revival of mystical portraits with a classic palette of tones and translucent hues.

The intention in my paintings is defined with facial expressions of subtle enjoyment of emotional charged that distinguish my signature in my painting work., respecting the virtuous manner over transcending  into style., expressing the subtle presence of a feeling  and sentiment. evoking catarsis in a subtle way is the way of work.

Monica G-Vera is a graduate of the Graphic Design faculty of the ANAHUAC University in the South of Mexico City. She has traveled to Europe and has been based in New York and Canada for over 25 years. Through her travels and her interest in the arts, she dedicates her work as an artist to painting and creates a new world of ideal personages with realistic figures and romantic expression, Mónica  does her work from her studio in Westmount, Quebec. Canada.

Her artistic inspiration comes from the creative vision inspired by the Italian Renaissance, Mannerism  and Allegory influence with a timeless  subtle vision, with a ground of Aristotelian philosophy  as her cosmology of pictorial expression. 

In her writings she place poetry as a link between  the subtle and the grounded , the mystical  and the real.
